The association that has been crossing Asunción bay for over four decades: some 20 boats running from one shore to the other. They leave from the port of Asunción at Playa Montevideo (Mbigua pontoon), with boats for up to 15 people. Fishing, trips through creeks and water hyacinths, and birdwatching. Boat hire with a local boatman in Concepción, for sport fishing and family outings. They leave from Concepción's old port, and also from Belén running down the Ypané river or from Paso Horqueta down the Aquidabán. There are three boatmen, so up to three boats can go out together: the 6-metre high-sided one takes up to 6 people with a 25 HP outboard, though 4 fish more comfortably, and there are two more boats with 40 HP engines, which cost the same and burn less fuel. The day costs Gs. 900,000 per boat, not per person, and includes the boatman, 25 litres of fuel and life jackets. Each extra day is Gs. 450,000. Bait, drinks and ice are extra. Fishing tackle is not included but they can provide it: Penn reels or simple handlines. Camping and a barbecue setup, optional. They also rent kayaks for outings on the Paraguay river and for two-day or longer trips down the Ypané and the Aquidabán, with a boatman: ask for the price on WhatsApp.

Boat hire with a fishing guide in Concepción, on Manuel Irala Fernández near Pinedo avenue, with a tackle shop on the same premises. Three 6-metre by 1.8 aluminium boats, with a 20 HP Honda, a 15 HP Yamaha and a 20 HP Yamaha, for three anglers plus the guide. The day trip runs 7:30 to 19:00 and costs Gs. 1,200,000 per boat, covering all three anglers and everything included: the guide, a tank of fuel and the bait. The shop sells live bait of all kinds, reels, lures and life jackets, from 7:30 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 19:00, with shipping across the country and free delivery within the city.

Boat hire with a local guide around Villa Florida, on the Tebicuary river. An aluminium boat with a 15 HP outboard, for five people including the guide. They set off from Centú Cué or from under the bridge and go as far up the river as the angler wants: staying close or pushing on to the furthest known stretch is his call. The day runs from 7:00 to 17:00. The boat on its own costs Gs. 350,000 a day and the guide Gs. 200,000, so Gs. 550,000 for the day with a guide; fuel and oil are on the client, though they will also quote an all-in price.
