The crossings anglers use most, with the hours from the immigration office's list of October 23, 2026. Hours change and a river crossing can close overnight: check before you leave.

Customs leaves motor vehicles and boat engines out of the baggage regime: a boat with an engine does not come in as baggage. The guide has not verified the procedure to bring it in on its trailer: ask DNIT (Paraguayan Customs) or at the crossing before you leave.
To fish from your own boat, MADES requires registering it separately from the licence: licence and boat registration. Where to launch and moor: river access.
It comes in duty free: Customs exempts "sports equipment for personal use" carried as baggage. On top of that, each traveller has an allowance of USD 300 entering by land and USD 500 entering by air or by river.
🇧🇷 To Brazil. Raw fish is not allowed in, even frozen or vacuum packed, nor homemade or merely smoked fish. Industrially processed fish (salted, dried, cooked or canned) is allowed in its original labelled packaging, declared on the Receita Federal e-DBV and presented to Vigiagro in the goods to declare channel.
🇦🇷 To Argentina. SENASA allows packaged, labelled canned fish in personal quantities, and its list of banned items names "meat of any animal species" and homemade products. The guide found no written rule for fresh fish from sport fishing: ask SENASA at the crossing before you bring it.
What Paraguay lets a foreign angler take home (the trophy) is on minimum sizes.
This page sums up what official bodies publish on the dates shown. It is a guide, not an official source: when in doubt, what they tell you at the crossing rules.
